Welcome to the Opal Coast

Here, a new neighbourhood brings a new perspective.

Start your morning in the hilltop fortified town. Then head down to the quays, watch the boats and let the day unfold beside the sea. Boulogne-sur-Mer brings these different moods together without demanding a packed itinerary.

I photograph these places and love sharing them with visitors. In this notebook, I suggest a few starting points: a walk, a visit or a trip to Wimereux and the Two Capes. The rest is yours to shape.

  1. Morning

Explore the old town and ramparts. Choose an indoor visit: the basilica, crypt or castle museum, depending on opening times.

  3. Evening

Enjoy a meal in town or dinner in your apartment. That can be the whole plan for the evening.

Day 2 · The ocean and fresh air

  1. Morning

  3. Evening

Return to the comfort of your apartment and choose your next Opal Coast adventure.
